Where London Still Plays Bingo - Bingotastic's List of Open Halls & Clubs
London has 14 bingo halls still open, according to the hall-by-hall census Bingotastic published this summer. That's a fraction of what the capital once had. The same directory lists 24 London clubs that have closed, from Camden Town and Wood Green to Catford and Wandsworth.
| Operator | Halls |
|---|---|
| Buzz Bingo | Barkingside, Bexleyheath, Cricklewood, Enfield, Feltham, Tooting |
| Mecca Bingo | Dagenham, Eltham, Romford, Rosehill |
| Independent | Apple Bingo Sydenham, Shipleys Bingo Edmonton Green |
| Dabbers Social Bingo | Houndsditch (City), Hackney |
Where the bingo halls are
The traditional halls left are spread across the capital: Romford and Dagenham in the east, Feltham in the west, Enfield and Edmonton in the north, and Sydenham, Eltham and Tooting in the south. The two Dabbers Social Bingo venues sit in the City and Hackney.
The latest club closure
Mecca's Croydon club shut on 7 June 2026, one of eight Mecca halls nationally to close that day. Bingotastic's census found that Croydon's closure received no press coverage at all.
Still the best-served city
Despite the losses, London is the easiest place in Britain to reach a club.
Bingotastic's Bingo Deserts study found 9.8% of Londoners live beyond five miles of a club, against 59% in England's county areas, and the median Londoner is 2.6 miles away.
One hall with a backstory
Buzz Bingo Cricklewood was one of the last two traditional halls run by Merkur, which sold it and Northampton to Buzz in 2024. Merkur now holds more bingo premises licences than anyone in Britain, without a single traditional hall.
Where to find local Mecca & Buzz bingo hall times and prices?
Session times differ from hall to hall. Bingotastic.com lists each London club, open or shut, with its address, so a trip can be checked in advance. They feature a breakdown chain by chain, so every Buzz Bingo club and every Mecca Bingo hall is covered on Bingotastic.
